❓ Frequently asked questions

UltraDesk — your questions, answered

The facts on security, data sovereignty, DPDP, licensing, and how it works. Same answers our assistant Zoro gives — kept consistent so the site and the bot never disagree.

Is UltraDesk secure? Can Spectra see my screen?

UltraDesk sessions are end-to-end encrypted (DTLS/WebRTC). Every session needs an explicit Allow/Deny consent and shows an un-hideable session indicator, and our relay only ever carries ciphertext — Spectra cannot see your screen or session content. Every connection is audited.

Where is my data stored? Does it leave India?

UltraDesk is built in India and hosted in India — the central server, regional edges and relays all run on Indian infrastructure under Indian jurisdiction. Your data never leaves India.

Is UltraDesk DPDP-compliant?

DPDP-ready by design: data residency in India, a named Indian data fiduciary (Spectra Technologies India Private Limited), full auditability, and data-minimisation (the relay sees only ciphertext). UltraDesk gives you the technical substrate; your organisation remains responsible for its own policies and notices.

How does UltraDesk pricing / licensing work?

UltraDesk is priced per support seat — one seat = one concurrent technician — and the customer machines you support are unlimited and free. There's a permanent free tier for light use, and paid plans (₹100–₹199 / seat / month) lift the free limits and add recording, multiple seats, and unattended at scale. Current rates are on the pricing section. For volume or custom terms, talk to our team.

Is it really free? What's the catch?

UltraDesk has a permanent free tier — free forever for light use, no card needed: 1 support seat, up to 40 support sessions a week, and sessions up to 60 minutes, with unlimited supported machines. Paid plans (₹100–₹199 / seat / month) simply lift those limits and add session recording, multiple seats, and unattended access at scale. Because you can use it free first, paid subscriptions are non-refundable — see our refund policy.

How does it work — attended and unattended?

Two ways: attended support via a one-time code (your customer runs UltraDesk and clicks Allow), or unattended access to machines you manage. Screen, control, files and voice over one encrypted, India-hosted path. See the getting-started guide.

Which platforms are supported?

Windows is available today; a Linux client is coming, with Mac/mobile on the roadmap. For timelines, ask our team.

Do you offer on-prem / self-host, or enterprise & government terms?
